My name is Averee and I am an18-year-old from the Chicago area. Singing and songwriting is my passion and I want to share it with you.  

My journey to creating music gave me hope and a voice. I picked up my first guitar at 12 and taught myself my first chords. I was writing songs long before I taught myself guitar. I've always loved to write and putting my thoughts on paper gave me an escape and space of my own. My music allows me to express doubts, fears, love, heartache, joy, confusion, passion, thrills, sensitivities, truth and vulnerability within my world.

I've had plenty of naysayers and early on those negative voices caused me to hide my songwriting passion, but now I know it doesn't matter what anyone else thinks. My motto is "oh yes I can".

Aside from singing and songwriting, and playing guitar, I love hanging out with friends and family, reading, and playing soccer.
